Gas spring mechanism for double beds

Built into the french bed, the hardware is used to open the bed linen tray and hold the mattress. It opens evenly, easily and silently, and does not squeeze even when closed under load. A more sophisticated, improved version of the old spiral spring types.

The gas spring hardware can be used for single and double bedding, for opening and holding the mattress open. The opening side is from the foot end of the bed.

When designing a double bed, consider the following:

• With a hardware max. you can make a bed with a size of 2000×2200 mm mattress, and it is important that its weight does not exceed 100 Kg. For beds over 100 Kg 2 pairs of harware are required.
• The weight of the bed means the total weight of the moving parts (bed grid, mattress… ect.)
• The thickness of the frame material is min. 18 mm.
• For proper operation, the bed weight requires the suitable gas spring. The table below is helpful in the selection, and for intermediate values, the weight shoud be rounded.

Installation:

• Install the hardware in the bed as shown in the figure below.
• Before installation, make sure that the surface is suitable for fixing the mechanism.
• Only fastening bolts of at least 8.8 quality can be used to secure the hardware. The use of wood screws is only recommended for fixing the rails.
• When fastening to wood or chipboard elements, it is recommended to use washers under the screws and nuts used.
• The gas springs must always be retrofitted into the assembled bed at the position shown on the picture. Always point the thicker end of the gas spring towards the mattress (upwards).

Attention! The values in the table are valid only for installation on the basis of the drawing, otherwise they will change. It is also possible to deliver gas springs with a different force than indicated, in this case contact our customer service. Dimensions shown in the drawing are in [mm].
